Privacy Policy
Beyo helps users create and manage events, reminders, notes, and preparation items from photos, screenshots, documents, and text.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use Beyo.
1. Information You Provide
Beyo may process information that you choose to provide, including:
- Photos, screenshots, documents, and text you select or enter
- Event titles, dates, times, locations, reminders, notes, and preparation items
- Contact details, reservation information, or other text contained in materials you submit
Beyo does not require a Beyo account for its core features.
2. Camera and Photo Library
Beyo accesses the camera or photo library only when you choose to capture or select content.
Beyo does not continuously access your camera or photo library. Content you do not select is not accessed.
3. AI Processing
When you use Beyo’s AI analysis feature, text you provide is sent to a Google Cloud server operated by Beyo, which sends it to Google Gemini for event recognition.
If you select an image or screenshot, Beyo first extracts text on your device using Apple’s on-device text recognition. The original image or screenshot is not uploaded to Beyo’s server or to Google Gemini.
Along with the text, Beyo may send your AI output language setting, current date, timezone, region, and app language from your device settings so dates and language can be interpreted correctly. Beyo does not send GPS location, advertising identifiers, or your saved event library to its server or to Google Gemini.
Beyo’s server does not store the analysis text or the AI result. It does store an App Attest key identifier and usage counters to limit abuse of the analysis feature.
Google Gemini processes this information only to provide the requested AI-generated event suggestions. Beyo uses Google’s paid API service and does not permit this data to be used to train Beyo’s own models. Third-party service providers are required to handle the data with protections consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
4. User Control
AI-generated information is presented as suggestions. You can review, edit, or discard all generated content before saving.
5. Local Storage and iCloud
Beyo stores event information and related files on your device.
When iCloud is available, Beyo may store and synchronize this information through your personal iCloud account (iCloud Documents) so it can be available on your Apple devices.
Data in iCloud is handled by Apple under your Apple account settings and Apple’s applicable terms and privacy policies.
6. Personalization
Beyo may store preferences and contextual information on your device or in your personal iCloud storage based on the events, edits, reminders, and preparation items you choose to save.
This information may be used to personalize suggestions and improve your experience within Beyo. It is not shared with advertising networks, used for cross-app tracking, or sold to third parties.
7. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Beyo schedules reminders for your saved events.
You can change notification permission at any time in your device settings.
8. Analytics and Advertising
Beyo does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not collect behavioral analytics for advertising or user profiling.
Beyo does not engage in cross-app tracking for advertising purposes.
9. Purchases
If Beyo offers paid subscriptions or in-app purchases, those purchases are processed by Apple.
Beyo does not receive or store your full payment card information. Apple may provide Beyo with limited purchase status information needed to unlock paid features and restore purchases.
10. Data Sharing
Beyo does not sell your personal information.
Information is disclosed only as needed to:
- Provide AI processing. Beyo’s Google Cloud server receives the analysis text and related device settings and sends them to Google Gemini. Beyo currently uses Google Gemini for this purpose. Beyo’s server does not store that text or the resulting suggestions. It stores an App Attest key identifier and usage counters to limit abuse.
- Store and synchronize data through Apple iCloud
- Process purchases through Apple, when applicable
- Comply with applicable law or protect the security of the service
11. Data Retention and Deletion
Event information remains on your device or in your iCloud storage until you delete it, remove the app data, or change your iCloud settings.
Deleting an event in Beyo removes the corresponding information from Beyo’s active storage, subject to normal device synchronization, backup, and system processing.
Information processed by third-party providers is governed by their respective retention and security policies.
12. Children
Beyo is designed for general audiences.
Some AI-powered features rely on third-party AI services and may be subject to additional eligibility requirements imposed by those providers.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Beyo’s features or data practices change.
The version and last updated date at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are made.
