Beyo helps users create and manage events, reminders, notes, and preparation items from photos, screenshots, documents, and text.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use Beyo.
1. Information You Provide
Beyo may process information that you choose to provide, including:
- Photos, screenshots, documents, and text you select or enter
- Event titles, dates, times, locations, reminders, notes, and preparation items
- Contact details, reservation information, or other text contained in materials you submit
Beyo does not require a Beyo account for its core features.
2. Camera and Photo Library
Beyo accesses the camera or photo library only when you choose to capture or select content.
Beyo does not continuously access your camera or photo library. Content you do not select is not accessed.
3. AI Processing
When AI-powered event recognition is used, Beyo may send extracted text and minimal device context to third-party AI services to generate event suggestions.
Original photos and screenshots are not uploaded to Google Gemini. Beyo performs OCR on your device and transmits only the extracted text and the minimum contextual information required to interpret it.
Beyo currently uses Google Gemini to provide these AI-powered features.
Under the provider’s paid-service terms applicable to Beyo’s use, prompts and responses are not used to improve the provider’s products. The provider may still process information as needed to provide the service, maintain security, and detect abuse.
4. User Control
AI-generated information is presented as suggestions. You can review, edit, or discard all generated content before saving.
5. Local Storage and iCloud
Beyo stores event information and related files on your device.
When iCloud is available, Beyo may store and synchronize this information through your personal iCloud account (iCloud Documents) so it can be available on your Apple devices.
Data in iCloud is handled by Apple under your Apple account settings and Apple’s applicable terms and privacy policies.
6. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Beyo schedules reminders for your saved events.
You can change notification permission at any time in your device settings.
7. Analytics and Advertising
Beyo does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not collect behavioral analytics for advertising or user profiling.
Beyo does not engage in cross-app tracking for advertising purposes.
8. Purchases
If Beyo offers paid subscriptions or in-app purchases, those purchases are processed by Apple.
Beyo does not receive or store your full payment card information. Apple may provide Beyo with limited purchase status information needed to unlock paid features and restore purchases.
9. Data Sharing
Beyo does not sell your personal information.
Information is disclosed only as needed to:
- Provide AI processing through third-party AI providers when required to provide AI-powered features. Beyo currently uses Google Gemini for this purpose.
- Store and synchronize data through Apple iCloud
- Process purchases through Apple, when applicable
- Comply with applicable law or protect the security of the service
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Event information remains on your device or in your iCloud storage until you delete it, remove the app data, or change your iCloud settings.
Deleting an event in Beyo removes the corresponding information from Beyo’s active storage, subject to normal device synchronization, backup, and system processing.
Information processed by third-party providers is governed by their respective retention and security policies.
11. Children
Beyo is designed for general audiences.
Some AI-powered features rely on third-party AI services and may be subject to additional eligibility requirements imposed by those providers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Beyo’s features or data practices change.
The version and last updated date at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are made.
